Lamar head football coach Ray Woodard confirmed Monday that they have lost QB Carson Earp for the rest of the season after Earp went down with a shoulder injury in the first half of the Cardinals loss to Central Arkansas on Saturday night.

Earp had just been named the SLC Offensive Player of the Week after his 400 yard, 4 TD game against NW State the week before in leading the Cardinals to a 32-31 last second win.

Andrew Allen, a transfer from New Mexico St, will get the start in Saturday's homecoming game against Houston Baptist.

Last week, Lamar lost RB Kade Harrington to an ankle injury.
