A woman investigators say was caught on camera slapping an infant has been indicted on one count of Injury to a child.
12News first reported the incident in May after receiving a call from a man who said he was able to hear the slap and the baby cry, even though he had his windows and doors closed. He pulled out his cell phone to capture it on video.
12News relayed gathered information to the Department of Family Protective Services, and the agency began actively searching for the woman.
Beaumont Police Department Special Crimes Division found Tieralyn Tralae Angelle, 27, and took her into custody. Police say she is the one caught on video in the May 13 incident.
The grand jury handed up the one-count indictment this week.
