UPDATE: The suspect has been arrested in Winnie Sunday afternoon, and will be booked into the Chambers County Jail.

Police are looking for the driver who left the scene of a fatal hit and run accident that claimed the lives of a mother and baby.

According to DPS spokesperson Trooper Stephanie Davis, an arrest warrant has been issued for 38 year old Ines Lagarda of Sour Lake.

He faces a manslaughter charge with the bond set at $750,000.

The Department of Public Safety identifies the victims as 30 year old Alyssa Holtzclaw of Sour Lake and her 10 month old son... Jacob Tucker Holtzclaw.

DPS says Holtzclaw was traveling east on Highway 105 near Pine Island Bayou, when a driver in a pickup truck, traveling west crossed over into her lane and struck her SUV.

The accident happened around 6am Sunday morning as Holtzclaw was on her way to work at Christus Hospital Saint Elizabeth in Beaumont.

Holtzclaw is survived by her husband and two other children.

She was going to drop her baby off at her grandparent's home.

Trooper Davis believes the suspect may still be in the area and they are investigating all possible leads in tracking him down.
