The trial of an Orange County man accused of killing a Vidor area couple began this week. Curtis Allen Garrison is charged in the November 23, 2012 shooting death of Aaron and Summer Conn.
According to 12News file stories, a dispatcher with the Orange County Sheriff's Office received a call about gunfire in an area off of Woodside Drive north of Vidor. Deputies found the victim's bodies inside a car parked at the crime scene.
Deputies later arrested Garrison at his parents' home in Mauriceville.
Evidence presented in court Tuesday included a report showing that DNA matching Garrison's was found on the gear shift of the victim's vehicle. Autopsy reports were also entered into evidence showing both victims died from multiple gunshot wounds.
A pathologist testified that Summer Conn was shot in the eye, shoulder and back of the leg. Aaron Conn had gunshot wounds to the head, neck, chest, shoulder, legs and hands.
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by 12News, Garrison's mother and brother are the ones who initially reported the murders to police, saying that Garrison told them he had just shot a man and woman at his house.
A motive for the killings was not brought up in court Tuesday.
