Beaumont police have identified a woman they say robbed two convenience stores Tuesday and may be behind a third.
Police officers were investigating a robbery at the Chevron on Eastex Freeway In front of Market Basket at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday when they received a call for a robbery in progress just across the highway at another convenience store according to a release from the Beaumont Police Department.
Officers quickly responded to the Tetco Convenience literally just across Eastex Freeway about a tenth of a mile away where they found the suspect, Teual Lashawn Harper, 46, behind the store with her pockets full of cash and a nine millimeter handgun.
Woman charged in two robberies
Police say she stole cash and cigarettes and is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery in the Tuesday morning hold-ups.
Investigators are also looking into whether Harper also held up the Shell Fast Lane store at Dowlen and Phelan early Monday morning.
Police also say there is another woman of interest in the Monday robbery who they say another recorded Monday's robbery on her cell phone.
The other woman is said to be driving a white SUV.
