A warming station made available in Orange County over New Year's eve will continue to be available upon request through Tuesday morning.

Because only one person made use of the shelter Sunday night the shelter is now available on an "on-call" basis.

Those wishing to use the warming station must call the American Red Cross at 1-866-526-8300 to make arrangements.

The warming station is located at the Salvation Army, at 1950 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. in Orange.

The warming station will be available from Monday evening at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Orange County partnered with the American Red Cross and Salvation Army to provide room for 50 people who will be offered dinner and a continental breakfast.

People interested in staying at the warming station should bring a I.D.

One person used Orange County's warming station. Due to minimal attendance the Salvation Army location will be on standby and available as needed. Citizens must call American Red Cross at 1-866-526-8300 prior to reporting to Salvation Army warming station.

Residents in need of warming supplies should call the American Red Cross for information on available supplies and how to pick up supplies.
