Two Liberty County Deputies were injured Wednesday morning while attempting to arrest 29-year-old Frank Allis Moss, of Dayton after he evaded a controlled traffic construction area.
Sergeant Ungles said that Frank Moss approached this controlled area and went around a Deputy's vehicle almost striking an on-coming vehicle head on. The deputy attempted to stop Moss but he fled the scene before the Deputy was able to stop Moss again.
The Deputies advised Moss that he was under arrest but he became combative and resisted arrest and began yelling "nobody is going to be put me in jail."
Moss punched one of the Deputies. The second Deputy attempted to assist and was injured as well.
One Deputy suffered a broken jaw, broken tooth, and a head injury. These injuries were caused by his head striking the concrete pavement. A second Deputy suffered a knee injury when trying to assist.
A third Deputy stepped in and was forced to tase Frank Moss in order to bring him under control and arrest him.
Moss was uninjured and charged with one case of Aggravated Assault of a Public Servant and a second charge of Assault of a Public Servant. He is in the Liberty County jail at this time.
