An inmate death in the Tyler County jail over the weekend is being investigated by the Texas Rangers.
Amie Coon, 41, of Ivanhoe, was pronounced dead at the jail in Woodville late Sunday night after being found unresponsive in her cell according to a release from the Tyler County Sheriff's Office.
Coon had been in custody on charges of injury to a child, injury to the elderly and assault/family violence charges as well as an outstanding arrest warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance from Sabine County the release said.

The Texas Rangers are currently investigating a custody involved death at the Tyler County Jail.
Inmate Amie Coon, W/F age 41, of Ivanhoe, was found unresponsive in her cell late Sunday night.
Jail Staff, Deputies and Officers from the Woodville Police administered CPR on Coon until EMS arrived.
Coon was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Trisher Ford at the Jail.
An Autopsy will be conducted in Beaumont later this week to determine the cause and manner of death.
Coon was being held at the Tyler County Jail charged with Injury to a Child, Injury to the Elderly and Assault/Family Violence.Coon also had an Outstanding Arrest Warrant out of Sabine County for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
