Police arrested Robin Claridy, 51, of Beaumont, in connection with the burglary of the Smoke Shop in the 3300 block of South Martin Luther King Jr Parkway according to a release from the Beaumont Police Department.

A second suspect has been interviewed by detectives and another arrest in the theft is coming police say.

The owner got a call from the the alarm company at 9:40 p.m. and then called Beaumont Police.

Police officers responded to the alarm call at the shop at about 9:45 p.m. and found that the shop had been burglarized according to a release from the Beaumont Police Department.

Surveillance video showed two suspects breaking in to the shop and leaving the scene in a silver Dodge Ram truck.

The suspects connected chains to the truck and pulled the bars off the door in order to break open the door and gain entry.

Amin Charania, owner of the shop told 12News that surveillance video showed that there were three suspects and that two of the suspects entered the store while the other suspect remained outside.

Charania said this isn't the first time that the store has been burglarized saying that this is the "fourth or fifth time" he has been burglarized.
