BEAUMONT - On this Cyber Monday, shoppers in the U.S. are expected to spend billions of dollars online.
"Black Friday was huge and every year gets bigger and better,” said Jamie Scott, the owner of “Ella and Scott.”
Three years ago, Scott created an online presence to take advantage of the hungry shoppers after black Friday.
"I wanted it to be a long term thing for me so the only way to do that was online,” said Scott.
According to Adobe Analytics, shoppers are expected to spend 6.6 billion on Cyber Monday, which is a 16 percent increase from a year ago.
The uptick on online shopping isn't just planning on lasting until today, but online sales are expected to also increase by 13.8 percent this year.
"It all depends on your personality,” said Scott. Some people just like that one on one in a physical store, but a lot of other people prefer shopping at home.”
According to Tech Crunch, Cyber Monday sales raked in 840 million dollars online so far.
