Deer hunting season kicks off this weekend and hunting experts from gander mountain said you might see more deer this season.
gander mountain supervisor colin moore said the lack of rainfall effects the lack of food supply for the deer.
"we've had a little less rain this year so you aren't going to have much growth as far as acorns and stuff, said moore. "So hopefully you'll see more deer at the feeders instead of hiding in the woods."
moore also said he expects to see more deer once the temperatures cool down during late november.
"the colder it is, the friskier the deer are going to be," said moore. "You are going to see them running around jumping."
moore also wants to remind people to wear their orange vests if they are hunting on public land.
