A homeless man was transported to the hospital after he was shot in the foot by a passenger in a white Chevrolet Avalanche, according to Beaumont police officers.
Authorities are asking that anyone with information relating to this crime come forward.

Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 12:52 am, officers responded the 1000 block of Mcfaddin in reference to an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A thirty five year old transient male was located with a gunshot wound to his right foot.
The victim and witnesses said the victim got into an argument with several black males in a white Chevrolet Avalanche. The victim told officers the unknown suspects asked if anyone had picked up a pack of cigarettes they dropped in the area. The victim and the witnesses told them they didn’t have the cigarettes. The victim got into an argument with the suspects. The suspects sped off and fired approximately 4 to 5 shots. The victim said he felt the suspects were just trying to scare him, but realized he had been hit by one of the bullets on his right foot. The victim did not have much of a description of the suspects.
A witness said there were four suspects in the vehicle but only the driver and front seat passenger were involved in the incident. The witness said the front seat passenger was the shooter. He is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, dark, with some facial hair on his chin, wearing a black or navy blue bandanna around his head with a white tank type shirt. The driver was described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, wearing a red shirt with a dark hoody underneath. The suspect vehicle was a white Chevrolet Avalanche with significant damage on the driver side of the vehicle.
