For the last six months, students from the Hardin-Jefferson High School FFA club have been trying to create an event that gives back to special needs students in their community.

On Friday morning in Kountze the plan will be executed as members from the Hamshire-Fannett FFA join Sawyer Alvis, Kaylee Griffin, and Madie Keel for the first Grand Champion Drive livestock show.

12 News reporter Lance Edwards visited with the pioneers looking to start a new tradition in Southeast Texas which teaches farm life, animal care, and most importantly provides a fun chance for special needs kids do something they've probably never been able to enjoy in the past.
