Feral hogs are causing problems for staff members at Tyrrell Park. Recently, the botanical gardens at the park where destroyed by the wild pigs.

Pictures were released showing rose gardens and plant life destroyed at the garden near the golf course.

Feral hogs are known to grow an average of three feet and could weigh over 400 pounds.

“There hasn’t been a situation where we had issues of hogs charging people,” said Neale.

This isn't the first time park director, Jimmy Neale, has dealt with feral hog damage at the park which is why he began laying out chemicals on the fairways to reduce the problem.

“The chemicals we use, kills the worms that these hogs are after.”

The parks Director, Jimmy Neale says they are working on a solution to get rid of the problem.
