Fans flock to theaters to watch "Black Panther"

Beaumont moviegoers react to record breaking "Black Panther" movie

Today I got to spend time at one of my favorite places -- the movies. I finally got to see "Black Panther," and I was not alone.

Many people decided to see the film on President's Day, their day off, excited to see what all the hype is about.

"I heard a lot about the movie, I heard a lot about the cast. They're all acclaimed, accomplished actors, and it's about a futuristic Africa about what things would be like," moviegoer Vernon Durden said.

Before the movie, many attendees said they were looking forward to seeing the action.

"I expect to see a lot of action, you know? And I expect to see a different side of how the marvel comic series depicts their characters", said moviegoer Robert Jacobs.

The movie is full of action and adventure and keeps viewers engaged from beginning to end.

Marvel enthusiast Joe Bryant said it was "awesome."

"I mean, if I could stay here and watch this all day long, I would definitely do it", he said

And for those who haven't seen "Black Panther" yet, Bryant says to go see it, and promises viewers will not be disappointed.

Black Panther had a $200 million budget, and is expected to reach 235 million dollars after President's Day, which distinguished it as the 5th biggest opening weekend of all time, biggest solo superhero launch, and highest grossing movie in the country directed by a black film maker.
