Several families not letting the weather get in the way of their Christmas spirit.
On Thursday, they headed to the Art Museum of Southeast Texas on for the annual tree lighting party.
"We loved the cold weather! My daughter and me, we don't get along with the hot weather but we love cold weather." said Debbie Flores
Flores and her 7-year-old daughter, Laila, were more than happy to wear boots and jackets for the event.
Kids got a chance to meet Santa and write letters for him among other holiday activities.
India Plowden came with her two daughters and son for some family time and did not mind the low temperatures.
"Despite of the weather, I was like, do we still want to go?" Plowden said.
To top it all off, Santa ended the party by lighting the Christmas tree right outside the museum.
