Austin Animal Center is searching for someone to adopt a 5-week-old kitten whose back legs are paralyzed.

In a Facebook post, Austin Animal Center said that Austin Pets Alive! would like to bring the kitten into their program but he needs someone to adopt him, first. AAC said that APA! will consider an out-of-state adoption and would help make the necessary arrangements.

He is only 5 weeks old and his back legs are paralyzed. This is such a busy time of year for us with the hundreds of cats and kittens in our care we do not have the resources to give him the attention he needs. Austin Pets Alive! would like to bring him into their program but they can only do this if someone comes forward to adopt him. They will consider out of state adoptions and help with those arrangements. If are able to adopt him please contact cat-adoption-manager@austinpetsalive.org\nHis medical records are in the comments section of this post.&#lt;/p&#gt;Posted by &#lt;a href=\"https://www.facebook.com/AustinAnimalCenter/\"&#gt;Austin Animal Center&#lt;/a&#gt; on Thursday, June 15, 2017&#lt;/blockquote&#gt;&#lt;/div&#gt;","type":"video","version":"1.0","url":"https://www.facebook.com/AustinAnimalCenter/videos/10156284165368696/","width":500}

The kitten's medical records say that he "can slightly move both rear legs but has muscle atrophy."

Anyone able to adopt the kitten should email cat-adoption-manager@austinpetsalive.org.
