State District Judge Tom Rugg Friday ruled that an employee who had a temporary restraining order preventing the district from laying him off can have have the TRO replaced with a temporary injunction which will allow him to keep his job

BISD Business Volunteer Supervisor Ron Reynolds maintains that his position was placed among those on the district's cost-saving chopping block as an act of retaliation.

Reynolds' attorney says the retaliation came after Reynolds released information to the media, information he said that had to be released under the Freedom of Information Act. The released information involved Patricia Lambert.

The decision may be a moot point because the list of employees that were to be laid off that was compiled by school officials was not approved by the school board.
