Vidor man jailed after deputies find 27 grams of meth in his 'waist area'

VIDOR — A Vidor man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop in Vidor on Tuesday night.

Paul Joseph Lagrone, 40, was charged with a second degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance after Orange County deputies discovered 27 grams of methamphetamine hidden in "his waist area" according to a release from the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators with the sheriff's office narcotics division were in the area of North Tram Road and FM 1132 when they noticed Lagrone run a stoplight and turn onto Tram Road from 1132 without signaling the release said.

The deputies initiated a traffic stop and Lagrone, who was driving a pickup pulling a trailer carrying a four-wheeler, continued slowly before pulling over near Ogden Road in Vidor according to the release.

Lagrone was being arrested on a parole violation when the meth was discovered.

Investigators were unable to make contact with the registered owner of the four-wheeler in Houston.
