Sulphur Police announced the arrest of five men following a human trafficking investigation in Sulphur.
Sulphur Police and the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office were acting on several complaints of possible human trafficking at motels in the Sulphur area according to a release from the Sulphur Police Department.
The investigation lead to multiple arrests on various charges including computer aided solicitation of a minor, solicitation for prostitution indecent behavior with a juvenile, and human trafficking of children for sexual purposes.

The Sulphur Police Department received several complaints of possible human trafficking occurring at motels in the Sulphur, Louisiana area.
On Wednesday, January 31, 2018, officers with the Louisiana Attorney General Office (LBI Cyber Crimes Unit), Homeland Security Investigative Agents (HIS) and the Sulphur Police Department conducted a joint investigation into suspected Human Trafficking and Prostitution in the Sulphur, Louisiana area.
Undercover officers utilized “backpage.com” to identify individuals seeking to pay for sexual favors with not only an adult female, but a sixteen-year-old juvenile female resulting in five arrests.
Arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail were;
Robert Christopher Miller, White Male, Age 28 of Goos Street, Westlake, Louisiana for solicitation for prostitution, human trafficking of children for sexual purposes, computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Christopher Damian, White Male, Age 31 of Tenth Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana for possession with intent to distribute CDS schedule II drugs.
Terry Stevens, Black Male, Age 32 of Azalea Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana for solicitation for prostitution, human trafficking of children for sexual purposes, computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Douglas Lynch, White Male, Age 51 of Jerimiah Church Road, Hollister, NC for solicitation for prostitution.
Bryan Lavar Sias, Black Male, Age 40 of Kathy Drive, Rayne, Louisiana for solicitation for prostitution, human trafficking of children for sexual purposes, computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
