A Southeast Texas woman received a life sentence in prison Thursday in Montgomery County for dealing meth.

Angela Ruth Mallone, 46, of Town Bluff, pleaded guilty to "possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (over 400 grams)" prior to being sentenced Thursday in 221st District Court in Conroe according to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford.

When Mallone was stopped in a car on Highway 105 east of Conroe in June 2017 a K-9 made a positive alert on the car.

Officers then discovered 420 grams of methamphetamine and about $18,000 in cash after searching the car.

Federal and local law enforcement in neighboring areas agreed not to pursue other drug charges from 2016 and 2017 against Mallone in exchange for the plea.

After she was charged in the incident Mallone jumped bond and did not appear in court on the charge.

After a warrant was issued for her arrest Mallone was eventually arrested in Silsbee where Silsbee Police Officers found 220 grams of methamphetamine and about $6,500 in cash on her.

Mallone has spent time in Texas prisons several times and one stint in a Louisiana prison for transporting and dealing drugs.
