All three suspects in the armed robbery of a Batson convenience store are in custody and bail has been set for two of the suspects.
Shavonskie Ardoin, 23, and Douglas John Martin, 21, have both been charged with aggravated robbery and are both of their bonds on those charges are $750,000 according to a release from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
Additionally Ardoin is being held on a probation violation with no bond and Martin also has a class B theft charge with a $500 bond the release said.
Ashalae DaeShawn Roberts, 17, of Beaumont, was arraigned Thursday on an aggravated robbery charge in Hardin County where her bail has been set at $250,000 according to the Hardin County Sheriff's Office.
Batson Grocery Robbery suspects in custody
Ardoin and Martin were arrested without incident Wednesday afternoon when Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies received a tip that lead them to home in Cheek according to a release from the sheriff's office.
After interviewing the two men Jefferson County deputies learned they were also involved in the armed robbery of the Express Mart at Reins Road and Highway 105 in Jefferson County as well as other robberies in the area the release said.
The men face additional charges pending from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and the Beaumont Police Department.
Roberts was captured after a chase that started in Sour Lake, went through Beaumont and into Jefferson County before ending in Cheek according to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office.
She was riding in a silver Mazda with with the two men after the robbery of the Batson Grocery Store in Batson at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning according to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office.
When Hardin County deputies arrived at the store they learned that the two males had entered the store, demanded cash and then fired multiple shots from at least two guns before fleeing with the girl the release said. Sheriff Mark Davis said the suspects took a small amount of cash under $1,000.
The clerk was not injured but bullet holes and damage were left in the store and in a car at the scene.
Not long after the robbery police officers in Sour Lake spotted the suspect's car heading east and attempted to stop the car with the assistance of Beaumont Police and Jefferson County deputies.
The suspects refused to stop and led authorities on a chase that ended in Cheek off Clinton drive when the two men left the car and fled into the woods the release said.
Deputies also recovered a gun at the scene.
