Orange police say they caught the man who held up the Capital One Bank in Orange Tuesday afternoon.
Police say 49-year-old Allen Keith Miller of Cameron, LA was arrested after his car was spotted by a motorist on Interstate 10 near Vinton, LA at about 11 Tuesday night. Miller was stopped by a deputy with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office and was booked into the parish jail.
Police say Miller entered Capital One Bank on 16th Street in Orange at about 3:15 p.m. and presented a note demanding cash. They say he never showed a weapon, and he left after the teller gave him money.
Police say they believe Miller was wearing a blonde wig when he held the bank up.
This is not Miller's first run-in with the law. According Warden Janice LeBouef at the Cameron Parish Jail, Miller posted a $1350 bond to get out of jail June 16. He was arrested at that time for driving while suspended and failing to have a motorcycle endorsement on his license. He was convicted for DWI and "drag racing" in 2002.
This is the third time in a year this bank has been targeted by a robber.
