Cold weather continues in Southeast Texas

Boston Avenue, usually bustling with Christmas shoppers, appeared almost empty Wednesday night in Nederland.

Rainy and cold conditions had forced some people indoors unless they had become so chilly that they needed Boss Burger chili.

"Yeah the customers have been streaming in left and right all day! Our lunches seemed bigger probably due to the weather." said Joe Oates, owner.

Oates' famous "Prime Rib Chili" was the dish of the day at Boss Burger.

"Its always good weather for chili." he said.

In Beaumont, heaters were hot items on the shelf again at M&D Supply store. After running short on stock, employees had to cut into the final inventory in back storage.

"I fully expect to see the plumbing and heating department to be on top in the morning. The sales have been hot and heavy." said Scott Floyd, manager.
