A Heat Advisory has been issued for Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana this weekend. Heat Indices may rise to between 107 - 111 degrees.
High pressure aloft dominates our weather. The high, combined with west and southwesterly winds, will push afternoon highs into the middle-to-upper nineties across the Triangle and the upper-nineties-to-one-hundred in the Lakes Area.
By Tuesday, the wind direction will change to the south. This will allow "cooling" of afternoon highs to near-normal levels. Rain chances go back up to widely-scattered, possibly up to a thirty percent chance Monday through Friday.
