Southeast Texas school districts receive their report cards

The Texas Education Agency Friday released the ratings for each Texas school district.

Beaumont educators got a sneak peak Thursday night, however, after Beaumont Independence School District released their ratings. The "recognized" rating came as a surprise to some, after administrators earlier this summer announced they were expecting "exemplary" status after seeing preliminary results.

Other districts fared as follows:

Bridge City ISD - Recognized   2009 - Recognized

Buna ISD - Recognized    2009 - Acceptable

Evadale ISD - Exemplary   2009 - Recognized

Hamshire Fannett ISD - Exemplary      2009 - Recognized

Hardin Jefferson ISD - Recognized    2009 - Note Rated

Jasper ISD - Recognized    2009 - Acceptable

Kirbyville Consolidated ISD - Recognized   2009 - Acceptable

Kountze ISD - Acceptable    2009 - Acceptable

Lumberton ISD - Recognized   2009 - Recognized

Little Cypress/Mauriceville Consolidated ISD - Recognized   2009 - Acceptable

Nederland ISD - Recognized   2009 - Acceptable

Newton ISD - Acceptable      2009 - Acceptable

Orangfield ISD - Recognized    2009 - Recognized

Port Arthur ISD - Acceptable    2009 - Acceptable

Port Neches/Groves ISD - Recognized    2009 - Recognized

Sabine Pass ISD - Exemplary      2009 - Exemplary

Silsbee ISD - Recognized            2009 - Acceptable

Spurger ISD - Recognized          2009 - Acceptable

Vidor ISD - Recognized             2009 - Recognized

West Orange/Cove Consolidated ISD - Acceptable       2009 - Academically unacceptable

Woodville ISD - Recognized     2009 - Acceptable
