Overnight stabbing in Beaumont under investigation

A Beaumont man is hospitalized after police say he was stabbed several times just after 11 p.m. Thursday. Officers on the scene say they were called to the Regents Apartments near the old fairgrounds in Beaumont. Once on the scene they found a man with a number of stab wounds.

Investigators say a man and woman got into a fight that escalated when she pulled out a knife. He was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. A policeman on the scene could say the seriousness of the injuries. Officers say the District Attorney will decide what charges will be filed.
