The Austin Motor Hotel on 11th Street in Beaumont was demolished Thursday after being issued 14 code violations.
The hotel was severely damaged after Hurricane Rita and the city was at odds with the owners about the damages since the storm. They were given 15 days to have the repairs. The owners failed, and the city took over to demolish the hotel.
