With Hermine moving away from Texas, a weak ridge of high pressure will build across the state and then strengthen Sunday and Monday. The result will be hotter, drier weather.
A moist air mass remains over Southeast Texas this evening. Widely-scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected. Chance of rain is twenty-to-thirty percent. Southeast winds are forecasted with lows dropping into the middle-to-upper seventies.
Thursday's forecast looks drier with about a thirty percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy to partly sunny skies are forecasted with highs in the lower-nineties. South and southeasterly winds are anticipated.
Friday will be partly cloudy with a twenty percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will climb into the low to middle nineties.
Saturday, partly cloudy skies are forecasted. Highs will warm into the middle nineties.
Sunday will be similar to Saturday with partly cloudy skies and highs in the middle-nineties. A twenty percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected. A WEAK "cold" front may just push through the area.
Monday, partly cloudy skies are expected with a thirty percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the middle nineties.
Tuesday, partly cloudy skies are again expected with a thirty percent chances of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the middle-nineties.
